Ok I love yoga, but I sweat....a lot :) In general sweat and yoga mats don't go together. It is so hard to hold your down dog when your hands keep sliding all over the mat. This yoga towel is amazing, not only does it keep me in place during my pose but it absorbs the excess moisture from my hands, and feet. Down dog problem resolved. Since I purchased this I have not practiced yoga without it....I am 100% sure that I will never practice yoga without my yoga towel again.

I bought this at the same time as a new mat and love it. Even with the best skidless mat I tend to skid once I get sweaty palms. So it solves that problem when I take class. I also teach and like to have two mats in a t shape when leading yoga. This way I can use my mat on its own and cross the gym mat with the towel on top of it. Voila, no mat with someone else's germs on it for me.

If you want to be sanitary but not haul around your own mat, this is a perfect solution.

wonderful wonderful wonderful! on my regular mat i slide about 6 inches in one breath cycle, on the towel i don't slide. its also nice for child's pose and other postures where my face is on the mat.

Everyone in my hot yoga class uses this, and I finally broke down and bought it. Wish I had gotten it years ago! Helps SO much during hot yoga when I'm dripping - before I would slip during poses (especially down dog and any lunging-type pose. I highly recommend.
